I want to send a big shout-out to Thomas. I truly can't say enough about Thomas. My eyes are literally filling with tears of gratitude as I reflect back on this outstanding caregiver. Thomas is the epitome of what we strive for in healthcare.

He was the primary nurse who cared for my father. Thomas kept us informed every step of the way and frequented the room to ensure my father was comfortable. But he didn't stop with just caring for the patient; he wanted to make sure the family was okay. Outstanding! No doubt, Thomas was keenly aware that though my father was his primary concern, he intuitively showed so much compassion and emotional connectedness with anxious family members, giving us assurance. He simply gave our family confidence that we were in the right place at the right time.

We learned later that Thomas was a huge advocate for our father to stay overnight at the hospital for observation, instead of being released back to the local rehab center. Because of this, my family and I believe that my father's health started improving.

My father went on to spend several more days at Merit Health Natchez where he bragged about the care and staff . . .and let's not forget about the food! Just want to say thank you for the impeccable care received at Merit Health Natchez.
