Thora was my sister's ICU Nurse for two days. She went out of her way to help my sister feel relaxed and remain calm during the process of decision-making for surgery (amputation) and leading up to surgery. She talked with her and provided care with respect, explaining things in detail, listening to my sister (she felt heard), stayed well beyond her shift (2 hours, I think) as my sister was struggling with pain, anxiety, meeting with doctors, etc. and transitioning to a new nurse. Thora provided compassionate care (empathy in action), was very thorough in her cares, and completed handwashing before and after cares, kind and considerate. Thora is awesome! Definitely goes out of her way to provide outstanding care.
