I would like to thank all the nurses who helped take care of my mother during the time of her stay at UCI hospital. I would like to especially thank Thuy who is a skilled nurse and she has compassionate care for patients. She was very gentle when she did the IV for my mom, as well as when she injected the medicine for my mother. She did it carefully slowly making sure that my mom would not feel pain or hurt. Sometimes my mom did not want the liquid medication and she asked for the pill instead or vice versa and she was always willing to ask the doctor for the exchange. She always had a smile on her face when she helped my mother. A lot of the times we had a request for some supplies that we needed for my mom and she provided them for us right away even though she had to come back-and-forth a couple of times without any complaints but still a smile on her face. She often came to my mom's room and checked to make sure my mom was OK and see if there was there anything we needed. My family and I are very appreciative of her care for my mom and her compassion for her work that made my mom, me, and my family feel happy. We felt much relief and comfort when she was there helping my mother. She always listened to my mom and comforted her. Even though all the nurses at UCI are excellent, this nurse is outstanding with her skill and compassionate care for patients. My family, including my mom and I, would like to think Thuy very much for her kindness and warm heart when caring for patients as well as my mother.
