I was adopting a baby, born prematurely, and in the NICU. This was an exciting, emotional, and stressful time- worried about the baby's health, bonding with her, and being 5 hours from home. Tiarra was not only a fantastic caregiver but also went out of her way to provide support and education to me. Tiarra taught me the core processes used for a preemie. The education and kindness provided me with agency for my daughter's care and increased comfort. Tiarra was amazing in assisting with the discharge process and making sure my daughter had a car seat in advance of discharge day. She understood that we would have a long commute home. Finally, Tiarra served as a consistent positive outlook and support- she exceeded the role of educator. She even provided me with official discharge education. She was always helpful, positive, and informative. I am so grateful for the support from Tiarra while my adopted baby was in the NICU.
