My wife and I, both nurses with nearly half a century of combined experience, were deeply impressed by the care and compassion demonstrated by Tiffanie Durbin, RN BSN. Despite my appointment being the last of the day on a Friday evening before a holiday, she never made us feel rushed. Instead, she dedicated ample time to educate us thoroughly about my impending surgery. While many nurses excel at task-oriented aspects of care, Tiffanie goes far beyond. She is an exceptional teacher who meticulously explained everything the physician ordered in a manner that was both clear and respectful. Her ability to balance sympathy and empathy was remarkable. She communicated in a way that neither spoke over our heads nor underestimated our comprehension, creating an atmosphere of mutual respect and understanding. I am proud to have a colleague like Ms. Durbin, whose dedication and passion continue to uphold the best of what nursing represents.
