Tiffany B Padilla, MSN, MBA, RN, CCRN, CNML

I haven't worked with Tiffany until she became the House Manager at Zion Medical Center. To be honest, she was just another face with a "friendly smile" under her mask dressed in a white coat. It wasn't until one fateful night that we happened to have three Rapid Responses call on three different units happening at the same time that I learned to admire this wonderful person.

During that whole shift, Tiffany showed great leadership and professionalism and told her of this patient's particular unstable status from the beginning of our shift 7 PM shift. Throughout the night, a physician, Tiffany, and I worked hard at stabilizing the patient despite such difficult circumstances. She empathized and listened. She did not judge. I felt like we both were working towards a goal and she was here to help. I admired her compassion for me as well as for the patient.

As we gave him meds that night, she recognized that a confused patient was getting out of bed at the same time. She worked hard to alleviate the troubles in our unit. Despite this story, Tiffany continued to ensure great teamwork amongst her staff by working together to create a safe environment for the patients and the nurses. Her excellence and integrity incorporate the values Kaiser holds most dear. I look forward to seeing her every time. I know she is my House Manager. Kudos to this wonderful leader!
