There are many different qualities of a Nurse Leader and some of those are approachability, professionalism, respect, critical thinker and a mentor to others. Tiffany Bailey meets all these qualities and is a true DAISY Nurse Leader.
I have seen Tiffany educating my co-workers on policies, new practices that have been implemented and any changes that we may not have heard. As a leader, she wants to make sure that our patients are safe and being well taken care of. She frequently audits charts to make sure we are doing what is right for the patient and following policy. Tiffany helps cover shifts when people call in.
Tiffany's customers are not only patients but employees as well. Anytime someone has a question, no matter what department, they know they can come to her if their manager is not available. If she does not have an answer, she will find someone who does or seek out the answer herself. Tiffany is excellent when it comes to dealing with patient concerns. If the manager is not here, she is in that patient's room to try and resolve the issue the patient is having so that it does not escalate.
