I honestly credit Tiffany with potentially saving my life. This infection had the potential to turn deadly quickly.
I recently spent a very scary week at the West Bloomfield hospital with sepsis. I was a little uncertain when I was admitted to the pediatric/postpartum unit, as I didn’t technically fall into either of those categories. During this time both of my parents contracted covid and could not visit me. I was scared out of my mind. On this unit is where I had the honor of meeting Tiffany. She was my nurse on a holiday and could tell I was struggling physically and emotionally. She talked to me about my concerns and then advocated to my doctor better than any other nurse I have ever witnessed. She pushed for the right testing that revealed a very serious blood infection. I honestly credit Tiffany with potentially saving my life. This infection had the potential to turn deadly quickly. She checked in on me and went out of her way to be a support since mine wasn’t able to be at the hospital with me. I’m so glad that I randomly got placed on the pediatric/postpartum unit solely because of the incredible nursing staff. Thankful for Tiffany and every other amazing nurse in the unit that got me through the scariest week of my life and onto the path of healing.
