Tiffany's responsiveness and willingness to help everyone around her, regardless of title or tenure is something we should all aspire to.
Over the past year, I think we can all admit that things were abnormally difficult. Between short staffing, supply chain issues, unprecedented health concerns, and constant uncertainty, we all did our best to take each day as it came and be there for our patients, our co-workers, and our families. We definitely wouldn't have made it without one other.

Throughout these unprecedented times there has been an individual who shouldered the weight of all these challenges. Tiffany Green focused on what she could do to create an environment for her team that allowed them to deliver the highest level of care while fostering an inclusive and positive culture for her staff. In the absence of the CVOR Manager, Tiffany took it upon herself to take administrative calls 24/7.

These calls often meant that she would be coming in on an off day, arranging multiple heart transplants in a 24-hour window, and providing staff support through any challenges they may encounter. Why take on such a burden? Because this nurse knew that by doing so, she could maintain staff morale, ensure stability and support for the team, and allow patients to get the critical care necessary without being subject to re-scheduling and delayed procedures.

There were many nights that Tiffany slept at the hospital to guarantee that the OR was fully staffed and had the tools to provide the level of care that Children's expects, and our patients deserve. Another, example of this dedication was the educational plan and in-services she developed for the main OR staff. She provided services and educational material to their staff members to ensure they were prepared in the event of an ECPR on a cardiac patient.

Tiffany excelled in multiple capacities during the past year and takes pride in knowing that her staff can always count on her regardless of the situation. Her responsiveness and willingness to help everyone around her, regardless of title or tenure is something we should all aspire to. We should all be so lucky to have individuals like tTiffany supporting our patients and staff.
