Even through this difficult time, Tiffany remained with the immediate family and patient for several hours. She met their physical, spiritual, and emotional needs that day so effortlessly.
I have had the privilege and honor to work with Tiffany over the past decade in the Emergency Department. Tiffany has always been a team player and patient advocate. It is not uncommon to come to work and find out that Tiffany has made special arrangements for a patient to follow up with a provider or has gone out of her way to make their experience in the ED a pleasant one. There is one specific situation that has stuck with me for some time. This particular example occurred about a year and a half ago when Tiffany was present during a pediatric code that did not end the way we all had wanted it to. Even through this difficult time, Tiffany remained with the immediate family and patient for several hours. She met their physical, spiritual, and emotional needs that day so effortlessly. I watched in awe as she embraced a mother who had lost her child and continued to provide support for each family member who entered the room. This was no easy task, yet she did it. I was so proud of her that day. Tiffany is looked up to by new nurses and is always willing to adapt to change, all while maintaining a positive attitude. Tiffany handles stressful situations with stride and love. She is an invaluable team member at KSB in the Emergency Department. Thank you, Tiffany, for all you have done and continue to do for our patients, their families, and your coworkers. You’re one in a million!
