Tiffany makes sure the system improves and transforms delivery for the community we serve, by ensuring all patients who enter the clinic are taken care of or pointed in the right direction. She helps improve the quality and outcomes by ensuring all patient's healthcare records and charting are up to date and that all her staff is following appropriate guidelines. She ensures all the residents, fellows, MDs and mid-levels who rotate are providing appropriate and timely care. She shows trust, mutual respect, excellence, integrity, accountability, and teamwork in everything she does on daily basis.
Tiffany is proactive and she shows compassion in everything she does and is a great role model for the LVNs and CMAs, as well as other RNs/nursing staff/team leads. She knows all her staff on a personal level and she uplifts morale in the clinic. She uses the AIDET model: acknowledges the customer, introduces herself, provides duration or time expectations to resolve the concern, clear and adequate explanation, and thanks the customer genuinely.
Tiffany cares about all the patients here and is competent in her abilities as an RN. Just recently there was a patient who came off the street asking for some help. He wasn't a JPS patient and didn't have an appointment here. After she was told he was needing some help by one of the access team members, she found out he needed psych help. The patient was having suicidal thoughts and she immediately recognized it and dropped everything she was doing and put him in a safe exam room, and she informed one of the physicians and asked him to help with the situation. She removed all barriers between the patient and the system by calling the appropriate emergency personnel to escort him to the main hospital. The patient was safely taken to the main campus and got the appropriate care that he needed because Tiffany recognized the patient's need in an appropriate, timely, and efficient manner.
