Tiffany helped the Infusion Center send an elderly, Spanish speaking only patient home after his chemotherapy appointment using the Lyft concierge service. Since a cab brought him here and our Social Worker had left for the day, the infusion nurses thought that he was going to the Salvation Army, but we later found out that he was going home. Tiffany was eager to help us. When we called to ask what we should do, she was very respectful of our mistake and went above and beyond to make it right and safe for the patient. She provided the Lyft phone number and patient information regarding his ride status. When we could not contact the Lyft driver, Tiffany cared so much by monitoring the ride status until the patient got to his destination. She called the infusion center to confirm that he got to his home address. Tiffany was very competent in the new TGH service and we are so appreciative of her accountability with this service. I am glad that we have nurses with integrity and caring qualities working in the discharge lounge.
