I am writing this to say thank you to a very special nurse, Tiffany Miller. Just a while back, not too long after our shift had begun, I had a horrible pain in my stomach. I thought I would be able to push past it, but I was wrong. As I sat in the locker room crying, I called the Charge Nurse, Tiffany, to talk to her and tell her that I needed to go home. After she talked to me a bit she said, “no, you are not going home, you need to go to the ER, and I am taking you.” She went and got a wheelchair and personally took me to the ER, waited with me while I got checked in and stayed until they got me settled. Turned out I would need surgery that afternoon, and Tiffany made it a point to repeatedly check on me and even take me to the pre-op herself. She sat and talked to my husband when he arrived as he was a nervous nelly. After I was out of surgery, she came to the PACU to check on me again before she left, even though her shift was already over.

This is just one of many examples of the amazing, caring, and compassionate acts of kindness that Tiffany displays not only to her co-workers and friends but to every patient and family member who ever has the privilege of being under her care. Tiffany has been an Extraordinary Nurse for Washington Township for almost 24 years now. The staff and physicians are blessed to work alongside her. And every patient, including me, is beyond lucky to experience how she always goes above and beyond as a nurse. Thank you for taking care of me, Tiffany. And thank you for being an amazing friend and co-worker. I am so glad I had you to care for and watch over me.
