I am nominating Tiffany on behalf of her patient and the rest of our unit. Tiffany took care of one of our antepartum patients more than any other nurse. The patient preferred Tiffany, and they had a special connection. This particular patient was not the easiest to deal with as she has some mental health issues and a complicated situation. Tiffany showed patience and compassion at all times.

Tiffany was able to get the patient to accept the care she needed and helped calm the patient when she was upset or anxious. We had the patient on the unit for several weeks, and within that time, Tiffany was able to secure the patient clothes and supplies for her baby. The patient and family were so very appreciative of this since there is a financial hardship for the patient. Tiffany advocated for the patient's needs and wants as much as anyone could. She did whatever she could to ensure this patient was well cared for and set up for success after discharge. The patient said that Tiffany was "the best nurse" and did "a lot of stuff" for her. Tiffany exemplified compassionate caring at its very best and provided care above and beyond what was required of her. She helped the unit by selflessly taking on a difficult patient every time she worked and helped the patient and her baby immensely.
