Tiffany was pulled to the ICU to provide a chemo treatment. Upon arrival, Tiffany noted several contraindications and thought we should reconsider administering the chemo. Tiffany SBARed her concerns. Initially, her voice was not heard, but that did not stop her. She followed the chain of command to advocate for this patient.

The chemo treatments were ultimately placed on hold until the patient stabilized. Tiffany recognized a critical, unstable patient. The patient had started to decline since the initiation of chemo from days prior. Her passion for doing what is right and advocating for the patient ultimately gave the patient a fighting chance.
