Tiffany Turner made a quick transition from provider to CNO, adding much more to her responsibilities. She is always eager to learn new things and has demonstrated her dedication to Horizon Health. Patients are still her priority even though she has stepped out of the provider role.
Once Tiffany was notified of an ER provider becoming ill during their shift, she responded by coming in to care for our patients. Two other occasions we did not have a hospitalist on-site and she responded by doing rounds with our inpatients and ordering appropriate care. Tiffany had never filled in for either of these roles in our organization in the past, yet she knew that our patients needed a provider to care for them and fearlessly stepped in.
Tiffany has also continued to be the acting manager over the Occupational Health department, in addition to her duties as CNO.
Tiffany has been the go-to person at EZ Care while they transition from one manager to the next. That would have been no small feat normally, but as you might be aware, there was a brand new building that they moved into. Tiffany packed and moved from the old structure to the new building nearly single-handedly. She was instrumental in helping get a partnering industry clinic from a vision into reality. With this came the added responsibility of onboarding new staff.
She has implemented weekly nursing meetings and TJC preparedness meetings and is actively trying to make Horizon Health a better place every day for patients and employees.
She does all of this without complaint, she just knows it needs to be done and isn't afraid to get her hands dirty.
She once, maybe regretfully now, told the CEO she needed a challenge, little did she know what she was getting herself into!
