When I was having anxiety, she simply gave me a hug & I started sobbing because it really felt like someone cared about me & for me.
I was admitted to Sutter Health Tuesday morning around 2am. I was having severe heart problems as a 24-year-old woman with no prior history of heart problems. The “swing shift” nurses were not the most attentive or helpful but at 7 am when everyone switched shifts, I got a new nurse named Tiffany W. I was so uncomfortable being there by myself and not knowing the outcome of anything, but Tiffany was literally the absolute sweetest human being to me. She made me feel heard, helped & comfortable considering what had happened. She deserves the world & my friend told me about this award & I really don’t believe I know any other human being who deserves this as much as she does. When I was having anxiety, she simply gave me a hug & I started sobbing because it really felt like someone cared about me & for me. She was gentle while administering my medications, checked up on me all the time, & my gosh I felt as if she was my guardian angel. As I’m typing this, I am crying just remembering her kind actions. Thank you, Tiffany, for being you & being just all around an amazing human. You’ve blessed me & I will never forget you.
