I am so thankful that Tim was caring for me and know that he helped greatly to improve my outcome.
I was in the hospital for six days with a dangerous DVT. During my stay, I went to IR multiple times for procedures. Tim in IR stood out as a nurse who doesn't just do his job, but goes above and beyond to provide a better experience for the patient, and to look out for the patient's best interest. He worked tirelessly to help my husband feel up-to-date with all that the doctors had discovered. When I requested CDs of my imaging so I could have them for future reference, he had 2 copies of the images to me within an hour. On the day that they took out my TPA infusion, Tim came back to my ICU room and after he took out the sheath, he spent 10 minutes applying pressure to the spot. He even made a call to the pharmacist to see how soon the Eliquis would take effect because he wanted to make sure I wasn't being taken off of the heparin too soon. I am a nurse myself, and rarely see a nurse with so much dedication to providing the absolute best care for their patient. I am so thankful that he was caring for me and know that he helped greatly to improve my outcome. Tim's care gave me tangible ways to be a better nurse, and I will carry that into how I care for my patients. I will always appreciate his compassion and the way he included my husband in my care. He truly treated me like he would want one of his family members treated, and I am grateful.
