The Unsung Hero - 1 Best would like to recognize a leader who has contributed a tremendous amount of time, effort, charisma, and loyalty to the Sacramento Medical Center. The contributions of this leader are rarely recognized because the work he does is rarely seen as glorious. His tasks are mundane and, may I say, boring, but nonetheless crucial to the success of this hospital. This leader has touched the lives of nurses on every single unit of this hospital. He has recognized leaders, nurses, and multiple staff members for their hard work, leaving a meaningful and deep impression. He leads by example and would never expect anyone to do what he wouldn’t do himself. He is selfless in his dedication to his work and to the people who work within these walls. Over the years, we have watched him continue to work as hard as the first day he became a nurse, support and mentor others without hesitation, and develop new leaders into successful partners. Without his leadership, this hospital would be a darker and dimmer place to work. Who is he? You may recognize him by his flowing hair and starch-pressed shirts. On his phone, he has a photo catalog with everyone’s bad hair day and makes sure to post them often. His bad jokes are legendary, and his nicknames for others are Almaz good sometimes. Tim Hutchison, we want to recognize your leadership and positive influence at this hospital. You have demonstrated what it takes to be a dedicated and effective leader, turning what is supposed to be work into our second home.
