For someone who takes pride in following a strict healthy lifestyle, the news of my stage 4 lung cancer diagnoses was met with disbelief. In a mere moment, my comfortable routine is replaced by an unknown and frightening territory.
A week later I found myself surrounded by strangers caring for me at Downtown Norton. These "strangers" soon became my coaches, therapists, and friends. One particular staff member, Tim, stands out.
Throughout this hazy journey, Tim created a sense of normalcy. He accomplished this through humor and compassion. The care and concern he offered were genuine and so appreciated. Tim's personal approach eased my stress and fostered confidence!
