Tim has been the best nurse I have encountered. He is a caring and compassionate nurse who works with his heart. He helped calm me down when I was very anxious and never made me feel embarrassed or ashamed. I could not move my body and had episodes of incontinence. He never made me feel embarrassed; he maintained my dignity and made me feel like a human being.
Being independent and a male, it was important to me to preserve my dignity and Tim did just that. He never rushed me and always took time to talk to me. He was very patient and explained all of my medications one by one and repeated the information without being flustered. He demonstrated such empathy, making me feel like I was with a friend or family member. He was always very polite and never seemed bothered with me. I really felt I was in good hands when he was my nurse. I felt safe and dignified. I felt I could trust him. He has a heart of gold.
