June 2025 Honoree
Timothy Daniel Forrest, RN
This nomination has been long overdue! I just started working in Same Day Surgery 1, and from Day 1, I noticed how Timothy goes above and beyond for patients—even after they’re no longer in his direct care.
On several occasions, I’ve received patients from him in PACU while I was busy with another, and he took the time to prep my post-op patients—not his responsibility—just to make it easier for me when I came to get report from him. He also stays to ensure the patient is comfortable, stable, and that I don’t have any questions before he leaves. And he does this for everyone. Every time.
This kind of consistency and behavior often goes unnoticed by PACU nurses because patients are sometimes groggy or unaware when they’re in our care. But if they only knew the level of attention and compassion they were receiving from Timothy, they’d be grateful. I’m inspired by Timothy—by his selflessness and teamwork. We need more Timothys.
