Tim and the other nurses at KPC couldn't save J's life, but they helped save ours. For that, we are forever grateful.
I would like to recognize T for his flexibility and commitment to quality patient care. Besides being a skilled clinician, T has remarkable qualities such as professionalism, calm demeanor, effective communicator, and (for lack of a better word) agreeable, courteous, kind nature. T was scheduled to work in Interventional Radiology. However, a CABG patient required the proficiency and expertise of a skilled clinician. As expected, T accepted the assignment without any hesitation and the patient recovered from surgery. Although a seemingly small ask, I appreciate the clinician's willingness to act in good conscience in the best interest of our patient. I view T's professionalism as a shining example of the extraordinary compassion, courage, and integrity in every situation, which this award represents. With great privilege, I would like to recognize T's consistent excellence in the patient care he delivers. Thank you for consideration in the matter.

Nurses all over work endless hours to save lives. We want to recognize all the devoted nurses out there today. We especially want to send a Thank You to the nurses and staff that helped us while we were in the hospital. They were the most compassion, sensitive, and devoted group of people.

One nurse in particular was our lifeline for five days and five nights. Tim from the Critical Care Unit at OC Global became part of our story, part of our family that fateful week. After coming in to watch over J our first day there, he fell in love with our sweet boy. He immediately changed his schedule for the next several days so that he could be with J all the way through. He cared for him with tenderness and love. He talked to him. He told him stories. He chatted with us. He asked questions about J. He wanted to get to know him. He bathed him. He brushed his teeth. He put deodorant on him, telling me that he just "wanted him to smell like a teenage boy for you." He stayed with him when we went outside for some fresh air. He listened to music with us. He admired J's photography. He chatted with and got to know our family members when they came to say goodbye. He wore green. He changed his schedule to make sure he was the one in the operating room with him when we said goodbye. He never left his side. He watched over my baby umtil the very last second. Tim and the other nurses at KPC couldn't save J's life, but they helped save ours. For that we are forever grateful. We will never forget. Nurses are amazing.
