Timothy Muongchanh was my night nurse. He came in and introduced himself very respectfully and told me to let him know if there was anything he could help me with. Timothy kept me informed of my future medical treatments and expectations while in the hospital. I was in a lot of pain due to having diarrhea which had caused my buttock area to be raw and sensitive to touch. Timothy brought me the Zinc Oxide Spray that had been ordered, and he had no problem spraying it on for me.
Throughout the night Timothy monitored my bowels to check for blood so that he could inform doctors who had ordered stool labs. He showed me so much compassion when it came down to being concerned about my pain and administered the medications as needed. Timothy shows excellent leadership skills. Before he left when his shift had ended, he came into my room and let me know his shift was over and told me the name of the nurse that would be relieving him and taking care of me. Timothy informed me the nurse would draw my blood and check my levels because I was being monitored due to my blood level being at 7.7 at the time of admittance. Timothy was very pleasant and efficient doing his job. Parkland is blessed to have a nurse like Timothy as part of its nursing staff!
