My nephew has been in ICU for almost 10 days and although the bed he is in does move his body some, the doctor wanted to really move him significantly. My nephew is very obese and so they tried five or six pillows on one side which really did very little. The nurses called and asked for wedges and were told there were none. We offered to drive somewhere to pick them up and even offered to purchase some. The best they could come up with was to bring up a box of more pillows. That is when Tim left and said he had an idea. He came back shortly with 2 large wedges that he got from physical therapy. He went so far above the norm, we all cheered as he helped my nephew. The other nurse even said he should get a gold star and then he completed another major task involving placement of his leg after turning his body. We all said now that's two gold stars! I called him Superman and we all cheered again. He is a true DAISY Nurse! Thank you for employing such great caring nurses!
