My mom has been a patient here for over 5 weeks. We transferred to the 10th floor from the Burn ICU after a Whipple procedure and a serious internal bleed. My mom was really discouraged from being so sick for so long. Tim called me and asked what kind of music my mom liked. I responded, "she loves Elvis". He came in and turned Elvis on and Mom's spirits lifted so much - she walked the longest she had this whole stay, amazing! He then called to update me on the great news. Musical therapy is just what she needed as she had been so weak and afraid to walk much before this.
