Timra Walsh 2, RN
Timra consistently delivers the highest quality, compassionate, warm, and friendly care to her patients and is a role model for all of us. As an example of this, one of her patients had difficulties getting home following a long day of radiation and chemotherapy treatment, as his pre-arranged transport was delayed. He had been waiting for two hours and it was already 7 pm.
When it became clear his transport was not going to arrive, Timra called and paid for a taxi for him, paying from her own pocket. She arranged snacks for him and waited with him (in overtime) until his taxi arrived, encouraging him to return for treatment the following day, despite all the challenges. Sure enough, he did come back for treatment the next day and did manage to complete the course of chemoradiation for bladder cancer. This was in no small part due to Timra's commitment, support, and encouragement. Timra is an exceptional nurse both in her attention to detail and her kind and caring manner with patients, and it is an honor to work alongside her.
