Tina Hansen-Taylor truly and deeply cares for her patients and their families. She takes her time and gives her all. Tina goes above and beyond for her patients' and families' needs. Recently, Tina was caring for a gravely ill patient in our critical care unit. After much difficulty and prayer, the family made the decision to cease aggressive medical treatment and move forward with comfort care measures only for the patient; their father. The family asked if a priest could be called to give him his last rites. Calling all local parishes Tina was unable to get a priest to visit. When she had exhausted all efforts with hospital and immediate community resources, she called her mom. With the help of her mom, she was able to have a family priest visit her patient and the family. I always admire Tina, she is a beautiful person who gently, confidently, and continuously puts her patients' needs at the center of her decision making. Thank you, Tina.
