She makes real human connections, creating genuine links between our hospital and the community we serve.
Tina Hoskins is an Extraordinary Nurse and coworker; she demonstrates unwavering altruism from the moment she steps into work. She volunteers and pitches in wherever she is needed. As soon as she clocks in, you can be assured she is helping someone. She may be assisting a visitor to find their loved one, helping nurses answer call lights or starting an IV. She doesn't hesitate to help and go the extra mile for her patients and coworkers.
She not only works in dialysis, but she works wherever she is needed. Having been a trusted member of our BHR team for so many years, she is a versatile asset and can do nearly anything in any area of this building. She takes the initiative to lend a hand wherever she is; if a call light is ringing, an IV pump is beeping, or a patient needs toileting, she treats them as if they are her own patients and never hesitates to jump in and help. She knows her dialysis patients well, and she takes time to look into their charts for relevant information to ensure continuity of care; she talks with them intently, discovering their likes and dislikes and everything they want to share down to their pets' names. She makes real human connections, creating genuine links between our hospital and the community we serve.
She is truly an ambassador of what it means to work at BHR. Tina always has a smile on her face, and a Buccees treat to share- which always boosts my day. I love her energy for life and her alpaca yoga stories, which entertain us all. She has volunteered to teach nurses about pertioneal procedures by having mini education sessions and lets them shadow anytime a patient is receiving the procedure to help instill confidence. She is a person of integrity, and I am honored to work alongside her in any capacity. She is a true gem and a true DAISY Nurse.
