My 74-year-old husband had major spinal surgery and was transferred from the unit to the 5th floor late evening on the weekend. Our new nurse, Tina, absolutely bounced into the room full of energy and ready for anything. Tina brings encouragement, life, hope, and a future to her patients that they may not see yet, but she sees for them. Tina gave my husband laughter during his trying period while he was here. She lifted him and me up. Tina stayed on top of any major changes in his physical well-being and notified the doctors. She followed through on the orders, kept us in the loop, and helped us understand what to expect. As my husband's condition changed unexpectedly, Tina immediately began to look for and document these changes and forward them to the doctors. She kept the next shift completely informed so that they understood what was happening and what to watch for in my husband's case. Tina is an exceptional nurse, an amazing woman, and definitely a glorious Daisy.
