Dr. Tina Lewis is one of my most favorite professors that I've had the privilege to learn from in my time here at Gardner-Webb. I feel that she does not only try to get to know us as students in her class, but also as the unique individuals/future nurses we are. She is a wonderful teacher because she has so much clinical experience and has awesome stories to share with us that go along with what we're learning. I feel as if I'm speaking for all the students in my class when I say that she's a phenomenal teacher that strives to do her best and genuinely wants what's in our best interest by organizing different learning activities that suit our needs. She has stayed past her office hours to help me and she has taken time out of her class to help us with a problem and provide encouragement with what we were facing with our clinical. She asked us on the first day of class what was something that we were anxious or worried about, then she responded the next class to that answer with a personal note of encouragement individualized to each of our responses. You don't find that much anymore, especially outside of the nursing program. She is a wonderful teacher and her class is one that I am excited and honored to learn from!
