Tina was originally a traveling nurse who came to Menig to help us out. Not only did we fall in love with Tina, but lucky for us, she fell in love with us too and is now a Gifford employee. Tina goes above and beyond for each of our 30 residents and their families as well as her coworkers. If she is on during the evening, when there are limited activities, she makes a point to do trivia or something else that the residents, who are up, want to do. She is always flexible with her shifts or moving days around to better help our schedule. She does not hesitating to jump in and help out due to employee illness/call outs.

We have many dementia residents who often are unable to verbalize their needs and can sometimes have behaviors which reflect unmet needs or something of that nature. Tina will go above and beyond to help the resident feel calm and validated, whether reading a book or assisting with a baby doll and stroller. If we have a resident who is transitioning to end of life, many families are unsure of what to expect and how to comfort and console their loved one. She makes sure she is there to educate the families and offer a listening ear, comforting them and their loved one, in turn, allowing the families to return the favor to their loved one. Overall, Tina is so passionate about long term care and geriatrics it truly reflects the care she provides. It's a pleasure working with her.
