A grateful wife of a patient took the time to write:

"When my husband found out that he had cancer we chose PCRMC for radiation therapy. Before starting it was recommended that he have a G-tube placed. This was a very distressing and difficult decision. We came in on the day of surgery knowing all about the procedure, yet nervous and unsure that we were making the right choice. It wasn't until Tina came in to see us that we started to be at ease in any way; she was like a breath of fresh air. She was interested in if "we" had any questions or needs. When the procedure could not be done, Tina came out with the doctor while he talked with me, again staying with me after the doctor left to make sure I had no more questions. A well-known part of nursing is the power of touch and empathy not only for the patient but their families. I feel that Tina was very comfortable in her task and that made us comfortable also."
