She always makes sure she is there to support her team, whether it be to help recover patients, cover call shifts, or even if it is just to lend an ear.  Tina embodies the qualities of what makes an expectational PACU nurse.
When you think of our Recovery room here at Wesley Chapel, one person comes to mind: our department supervisor, Tina Wilmore.  She has been here now for almost ten years.  Tina embodies everything you would want in a PACU Nurse and leader.  Tina always makes sure that not only are the patients well cared for in her department but also her staff.  She always makes sure she is there to support her team, whether it be to help recover patients, cover call shifts, or even if it is just to lend an ear.  Tina embodies the qualities of what makes an expectational PACU nurse.  Her calm demeanor, soothing voice, positive energy, compassion, and acts of selflessness do not go unnoticed.

Her staff follows in her lead, and according to one of her team members, Proverbs 27:17, "As iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another."   "Tina does this every single day when she is on duty, now that is a great leader!"

Tina takes time to make sure that each of her team members feels important and is always coming up with creative ways to keep her staff engaged.  She does random acts of recognition for her team and often is the organizer for team-building activities within her department to keep the staff happy.  Tina always has an open-door policy and will go above and beyond to accommodate her staff's requests when life events happen to promote the team's work-life balance.  Tina lives our mission and supports her team by involving the Chaplain in her team huddles.  When her team members are going through hard times outside of work, she rallies the team to offer support in any way they can.

Tina is one of the kindest, most beautiful people I have ever met, and I am honored to work with her as her direct leader and friend.
