She always makes sure she is there to support her team, whether it be to help recover patients, cover call shifts, or even if it is just to lend an ear.  Tina embodies the qualities of what makes an expectational PACU nurse.
When you think of our Recovery Room here at Wesley Chapel, one person immediately comes to mind: our department supervisor, Tina Wilmore. She has been with us for almost ten years and embodies everything you would want in a PACU nurse and leader. Tina always ensures that not only are the patients in her department well cared for, but that her staff are, too. She is always there to support her team, whether it’s helping recover patients, covering call shifts, or simply lending a listening ear. Tina truly exemplifies what it means to be an exceptional PACU nurse. Her calm demeanor, soothing voice, positive energy, compassion, and selflessness do not go unnoticed.

Her staff follows her lead. As one team member shared, Proverbs 27:17 says, “As iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another.” They went on to say, “Tina does this every single day when she is on duty, now that is a great leader!”

Tina takes time to ensure each of her team members feels valued and appreciated. She’s always coming up with creative ways to keep her staff engaged, organizing team-building activities and performing random acts of recognition to boost morale. She maintains an open-door policy and goes above and beyond to accommodate her staff’s needs when life events happen, promoting a healthy work-life balance for everyone. Tina lives our mission daily and supports her team by involving the Chaplain in team huddles. When a team member is going through a difficult time outside of work, she rallies the department to offer care and support in any way they can.

Tina is one of the kindest, most genuine, and most beautiful people I have ever met. It is an honor to work alongside her as both her leader and her friend.
