My partner had to visit CHOMP a couple of times within the same month. We had the privilege of having Tina as our nurse for two separate cardiac procedures within 3 weeks of each other. On both visits, she was amazing and provided high-quality care. She was compassionate, caring, kind, and authentic. My partner talks quite a bit, especially when nervous, and jokes frequently. She kept up with it and made some jokes back, putting him at ease. She helped calm our anxiety and made every effort to help him be comfortable (he is 6'5'', which is taller than the norm and so longer than most hospital beds). She was responsive and timely throughout our time at CHOMP. She is knowledgeable and has great energy, which made us feel in good hands. Plus, she remembered us when we were here our second time, which made us feel special and like we mattered as patients. She even remembered my partner’s height! I could not ask for a better nurse. When it comes to matters of the health, the emotional aspect is critical for overall wellbeing. It helps to be in a setting that is nurturing and has people who show up with their authenticity to deliver compassionate care, and she delivered that and more. Thank you, Tina!
