Tina was the nurse supervisor working one day when the ER was very full. We received a patient in complete heart block requiring transcutaneous pacing and then a temporary pacemaker prior to being flown out.Tina helped coordinate all of the items needed for surgery and cardiology and stayed in the room with me assisting in care.She also continually communicated with the patient to reassure her.Tina's presence and assistance was greatly appreciated and allowed me to document and arrange transport. I have noticed that whenever Tina is working, ifthe ER becomesvery busy with acuity, a critical situation, or special circumstance,she is quick to arrive and assist and is a huge help!
