Tina is one of the most caring, compassionate nurses I have ever had the honor of working with. She truly cares about every patient and family she takes care of. Tina feels her career as a nurse is a calling, and an extended ministry of Jesus. Tina takes time with her patients to talk, but most importantly, to listen. She is recognized almost daily during leader rounding for the excellent care she delivers. Tina is not only an excellent nurse, she is a great co-worker. Tina is always very giving of her time, helping her fellow nurses and techs throughout her shift. She often works extra to ensure the unit is well staffed, and the patients receive the attention they deserve. Tina understands the vulnerability of her patients and does everything she can to make sure they feel safe during their hospitalization.

Tina's reaction to this award will be that she doesn't deserve, nor seek, recognition. She will insist that if an award is to be given, her team should get it. She will also be the first to say that is is an honor and a blessing to be able to be a part of the healing, or at times, a comforting hand at the end of the patient's life journey.
