March 2023 Honoree
Tiwonge Chirwa, MS
Tiwonge Chirwa is love embodied. She is kind, caring, approachable and helpful. She comes to nursing as a service worker and has humbly worked hard throughout her time in the Master of Science in Nursing-Entry Level program at St. Catherine University.
Tiwonge identified a crucial need during her preceptorship. She saw the loss of life of a patient who was non-English speaking when there were no interpreter services available. This affected her deeply as she realized the disservice that was done to the family. She used her evidence-based project to come up with an alternative method to deal with part of this vast issue.

Thank you, Tiwonge, for your exceptional compassion, advocacy, and dedication to your patients. You truly make a difference.
