When I was in extreme pain around my chest and back, my nurse Tola stayed calm and quickly found the best solution to help relieve the pain. Reassuring me that everything is going to be okay and reminding me to check the green button to make sure I stay on top of the pain. She even gave me a patch for my upper back to help the pain and gave me ice chips. Tola talked to me for a bit, calmed me down, and brought a smile to my face before tucking me in. Afterward, I woke up and didn’t have any more pain medication but she rushed to find some before my pain increased. When I had to do my scan, she got me a wheelchair and gave me blankets to stay warm. The whole time she said sweet, motivating things keeping me positive and worry-free. I can tell she likes being a nurse, helping people, and being their light in the dark with her kindness. Tola makes big and positive impacts on people’s lives. She truly is beautiful inside and out, providing expert care and being a hero in my eyes. Anyone would be lucky to have her as their nurse.
