Tom Todaro, RN

Tom is the Case Manager RN for 4T.  On this particular day, Tom was overseeing a patient who needed his permacath fixed by Interventional Radiology for the patient to be discharged.  Upon returning from IR, the patient's permacath was still not functioning properly, so Tom escalated everything as quickly as he could (IR is only at our hospital for limited periods). 

When it turned out that IR was not available to fix the cath on that day, Tom escalated his concern, got surgery on board, and was fighting for the patient to have a working site where he could receive his hemodialysis and be discharged as the patient wanted.  Tom's dedication, attention to detail, and concern for the patient went above and beyond.  I was super impressed by all that he did and feel that Tom needs to know how valuable he is.  Thanks, Tom!!!
