During his multiple visits to the Birmingham VA Medical Center over the past 9 years, Mr. W has had many nurses care for him. As a former Marine, Mr. W knows the value of courage and faith. However, after his second PICC line had become non-operational, he began to give up. That was until Toni Hosea stepped in to help. As an experienced member of our IV team, Toni assured him that she would make the necessary repairs and fix the problem permanently. Toni's soft tone and reassurance that that there was nothing to be worried about, put him at ease. Mr. W praised her good bedside manner, positive attitude and positive outlook.
