Toni is the best nurse I have ever had. I have been in different hospitals several times and never had a nurse as great as Toni. She came in here and made me feel special. She helped me deal with my possible amputation by listening and talking to me about it. She helped me not be afraid. She even told me about her mother's amputation and had her mother talk to me on the phone about what it was like for her. Her mom helped me to remember to put it in the Lord's hands. She helped me feel better about it because she went through it too.

I can't tell you how much Toni has helped get me through these hard times and she keeps my spirits up. She takes great care of me everyday. I was in a low place when I came in here, I realize I may be close to dying and I never thought I could have so much fun in the hospital when I was this sick. Toni has made sure I enjoy every day and have hope. If I am not around or able to be here to celebrate with her if she gets this award, please call my daughter so she can be here to celebrate with Toni too.
