Tony took care of D on both Saturday and Sunday night. Upon his return on Sunday, Tony brought a few goodies and a birthday card for D who was celebrating his 64th birthday, alone in the hospital. Tony invited staff to sign a birthday card and arranged for a rousing rendition of "Happy Birthday" on Monday morning, which was D's actual birthday! D had been here for weeks and couldn't have visitors, but Tony went above and beyond to bring him some birthday joy. It was the last birthday that D would celebrate, as he passed away a few days later. Tony's loving spirit and compassion provided D one last great birthday.
