Tonya is an angel in a woman’s body. I’ve experienced being under her care multiple times and have never been disappointed or in need of anything. She never makes me feel like an inconvenience for hitting my call light (and sometimes I’m super annoying), she makes me laugh and feel safe, and most recently helped me stay calm from almost experiencing a panic attack. I had called her into the room because my hands were cramping, and I couldn’t really unfold my fingers from a fist. She went and got two warm blankets and put my hands in between them after she felt how cold they were, she helped flatten my fingers slowly so as to not hurt them but make sure they were taken care of and get back to normal hands. I told her my face was starting to feel tingly, and I may be starting to get a panic attack. She helped me talk through it, and I ended up falling asleep in the end while she was still there. While expressing my concern about a panic attack, she started saying things like “You’re safe” and “with someone you trust,” and I continued with things like “I’m not alone” and “I have help if I need it.” Tonya is a true gem, and I ALWAYS know I’m in good hands when she’s there.
