Tonya is an outstanding nurse. She is exceptional at putting patients at ease. She always has a caring word that can help ease a patient's worry. She has the skills to care for a critical ER patient, then assist an OB patient in labor, and comfort a pt and family at end of life. I have overheard her many, many times over the past 18 years talking to patients, it is always with compassion and understanding no matter how difficult the situation. I have also seen her ability to mentor newer nurses over the years. She is able to teach them the skills needed for their job, but also instills in them the confidence needed for them to be successful in their nursing careers.
