As a coworker of Toral's I knew she was a sweet person and a good nurse. I never imagined I would be admitted to the ICU and one of my coworkers would have to take care of me. Fortunately, I was lucky to have her as a nurse and experience her wonderful nursing care firsthand.
Toral never let the stress of taking care of a coworker show. She did it all while smiling and precepting. My family and I were beyond grateful for the truly genuine care she gave us during my stressful ICU stay. She always kept it professional and recognized how important it was to me to maintain my privacy. Toral was my only day shift nurse during my ICU stay. We loved the continuity of care. She even changed her schedule so she could come back and take care of me even though it meant working five 12-hour shifts in a row. Toral was also the first person I saw getting off the elevator on my first day back to work, welcoming me with a big hug. Toral is a true example of what they teach and train a Mercy nurse to be!
