Tori made me feel as if she had no other patient than me and had her full attention on me. She took care of me with kindness and compassion. She always asked how I was doing and anticipated my needs. Additionally, I am an ED physician as well as a frequent patient of late. I have rarely seen the attentiveness to detail that I witnessed with Tori. She consistently used sterile technique when required, anticipated problems, and checked for safety issues (such as checking the IV site and double-checking medication dosing). She was one the best nurses I have encountered, and I was shocked when she told me she was only 3 months into her first job. Sentara was lucky to find a nurse with the skills and innate ability to provide superior care to patients. I hope to have Tori as my nurse again if I have another admission in the future.
