Tori made sure I was as comfortable as she could and again met my needs, often before I even asked.
Tori was my nurse the day of my delivery. My water had broken 2 days prior and prematurely, just shy of 35 weeks. Needless to say, my husband and I were nervous about our little girl. Tori was wonderful! She was attentive to all our needs. She went above and beyond to be sure we were comfortable and informed. Once we delivered, she was very thorough. The rest of our stay was uneventful and we were discharged home with a healthy baby.

However, days later, I was readmitted with post-partum pre-eclampsia. Tori was again my nurse. I was nervous and anxious. Post-partum hormones were surging as I worried about leaving my 6 day old baby. Without me having to ask, Tori asked about breastfeeding. I assumed this complication meant the end of that journey, but Tori brought me a pump and all the supplies I needed. She even arranged for my husband to bring our little girl for a visit. This was a very uncomfortable admission, receiving mag sulfate, and I was alone most of the stay so my husband could be home with our girls. Tori made sure I was as comfortable as she could and again met my needs, often before I even asked. She deserves to be recognized for the compassion and care that she gives to her patients.
