When I came in on a Sunday for an induction, I had no idea what to expect or what to do. As the day turned into the next day, my labor was progressing and going nowhere, and eventually, we had to resort to a C-section. I was scared, sad, lost all over the place, but no matter what I was feeling, Tori was right there, feeling every emotion with me, helping me. Even if she didn’t know it, she was helping tremendously just by seeing her smile walk through the door when she was on for a shift. Tori went above and beyond not only for the care of myself and my daughter but for my family. In the 5 days I was here, Tori made me feel like I was not only a patient but a friend and extended that kindness and relationship to my family. She built a bond with the baby’s father and me, and made us feel more than welcome and fully supported in all our decisions. All my labor and delivery nurses were amazing, and I would vote for all of them, but Tori went above and beyond for my care. She’s more than a nurse, she’s a literal angel sent from God to help me through the most vulnerable, scary, and helpless time in my life.
