Torre was nominated by a patient after her work getting the patient’s severe pain under control. Part of her nomination read: ‘Torre is hands down one of the best nurses I’ve ever had. After an unsuccessful traumatic lab draw, she was able to get labs through my IV. Also, that night I had 10/10 pain and was whimpering and crying and she immediately was on top of it. She had the doctor on the phone and when they suggested Tylenol, Torre quickly said that wasn’t going to cut it.’ Congratulations, Torre! Thank you for being a wonderful example of a patient advocate.
